New Community Building, Bedfordshire

The LABC award winning environmentally friendly community building within the Bedfordshire town of Shefford was constructed in partnership with Low C Construction.

Taylormade MES Ltd were contracted to design, supply and install the mechanical services throughout the building, which consisted of a new heating installation serving under floor heating and radiators, new domestic water services including new hot water plant and heat recovery ventilation systems.
With the heating being generated by a pure plant oil combined heating power (CHP) system, generating electricity for the site and recovering waste heat this resulted in achieving an EPC rating of A and a BREEM energy rating of outstanding for the client.
